Within the last year, our projects have encouraged us to explore our strengths, weakness and places of interest within the umbrella of comic arts. We've also experienced working alone, versus working as part of a creative team.
Something I found through this is that my strengths and main interest lie within the writing side of producing a piece of work, as well as the marketing and promotional work that is necessary both during and post-production when creating a book.
Interestingly, I found that a close friend and previous teammate of mine, Katy, had strengths in other areas, meaning that together we covered all bases. We discussed this and found that it would be a sensible idea to work together to produce the highest standard of work possible between us. We also noted that this made it more likely that we'd produce something more accessible for a wider audience (as we had two outlooks contributing, instead of one.
At this point, we have a rough idea of how to split the roles (this is subject to change).
